Privet, Prada!
I've already written about how LV scarves and Burberry gear are de rigueur for the RG girls, so now I thought I'd document their penchant for Prada purses...
Looks like Ul's got them in two different colors!
And Makar's got a matching one!

Today the girls headed to Minsk, Belarus for another World Cup!
Unfortunately, it seems they had to wait quite a bit at the airport, so they got a little crazy/restless...
(I'm not sure I approve of these loose-fitting white shorts. I like the little red Bosco ones better!)
...and sleepy...
And it seems Di couldn't find her passport. UH-OH!!
(Makar and Olya didn't go; for the group, it's the same team that went to Sofia.)

Happy Birthday Alina Kabaeva!
Today (May 12) is Alina Kabaeva's 30th birthday! Happy Birthday!
Even though I never watched her compete (since I got interested in RG only recently), I know that she is one of the legends of RG, and one of the most decorated gymnasts of all time. She won the bronze medal at the 2000 Olympics, and the gold medal at the 2004 Olympics.
Whereas Irina Tchachina was known for her jumps, Alina Kabaeva was known for her extreme flexibility.

After her retirement, she did some TV work and ended up in the State Duma. (More on that later.)
